Marian Announces Brittany King as New Head Pompon Coach
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - Marian High School is excited to welcome Brittany King as the new Varsity Pompon Head Coach. King brings a strong background of coaching and competitive pompon experience to a program that has already excelled in its early stages.
King enters the role with three years of coaching experience, including two seasons as head coach of the Junior Varsity Pom team at Plymouth High School. Her experience also includes six years as a competitive athlete, with time on the Plymouth Canton Pom team, four years on Plymouth High School's varsity squad, and one season at Grand Valley State University.
In addition to her coaching experience, King works full-time in the Human Resources department at Crain Communications and currently resides in Royal Oak. She is passionate about leadership development and team building, and her coaching philosophy emphasizes growth, accountability, and support—on and off the floor.
King's decision to join Marian was guided by the school's commitment to academic and athletic excellence, along with its mission to empower young women through faith, service, and leadership. She looks forward to continuing the strong tradition of Marian Pom and building on the program's recent success.
King looks forward to working with an already experienced Marian Pompon squad that has captured back-to-back Varsity Class C/D State Championships in the last two years.
