Grace Rotter ’22 - Inducted into the CHSL Hall of Fame

Marian High School is proud to announce that alumna Grace Rotter will be inducted into the Catholic High School League Hall of Fame on Monday, June 8th, recognizing an athletic career defined by excellence, leadership, dedication, and continued success at the national level.

A member of Marian’s Class of 2022, Rotter made an unforgettable impact during her four years as a standout multi-sport athlete in both lacrosse and basketball. Known for her competitiveness, versatility, and strong leadership presence, she became one of the premier athletes in the Catholic High School League while helping lead the Mustangs to success across multiple seasons.

Rotter earned four varsity letters in both lacrosse and basketball during her time at Marian and consistently established herself as one of the league’s most respected and accomplished athletes. Her ability to lead by example, elevate teammates, and perform in high-pressure moments helped define her high school career and left a lasting mark on Marian athletics.

Whether on the basketball court or the lacrosse field, Rotter’s work ethic and team-first mentality stood out. She earned multiple All-Catholic High School League honors throughout her prep career and quickly developed a reputation as a player who could impact every aspect of the game. Her athleticism, competitive drive, and commitment to excellence helped set the standard for future Marian student-athletes.

Following her graduation from Marian, Rotter continued her academic and athletic career at Slippery Rock University, where she has gone on to become one of the top Division II lacrosse players in the country.

Her collegiate accomplishments have been extraordinary. Most recently, Rotter earned 2026 USA Lacrosse All-American Second Team honors, was named a 2026 IWLCA All-American Third Team selection, and received 2026 IWLCA All-Region First Team recognition. These honors place her among the elite players in Division II lacrosse nationally and further highlight the continued growth of her career since graduating from Marian.

In addition to her national recognition, Rotter has earned All-PSAC West honors and multiple conference weekly awards for both offensive and defensive performances throughout her collegiate career. Her all-around impact on the field has made her one of the most dynamic players in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

During the 2025 season, Rotter helped lead Slippery Rock to one of the most successful years in program history. She finished the season with a team-leading 82 points, totaling 53 goals and 29 assists while guiding the program to the NCAA Division II national semifinals. Her offensive production, leadership, and consistency were instrumental in the team’s historic postseason run and helped elevate Slippery Rock onto the national stage.

Rotter’s impact extends beyond athletics as well. She has also been recognized for her academic excellence, earning CSC Academic All-America honors while balancing the demands of collegiate athletics and academics at the highest level. Her dedication in the classroom mirrors the same discipline and determination she displays in competition.

Despite all of the accolades and accomplishments, Rotter remains humble and grateful for the opportunity to be recognized by the league that helped shape her athletic journey.

Reflecting on her induction, Rotter shared, “Being inducted into the CHSL Hall of Fame is such an incredible honor. To be considered among so many talented and accomplished individuals is truly a privilege, and I’m so grateful to be recognized alongside people who have made such a lasting impact.”

Grace Rotter’s induction into the CHSL Hall of Fame is a testament not only to her remarkable athletic achievements, but also to the leadership, character, and dedication she has displayed throughout her career. From her days competing for Marian to her continued success at Slippery Rock University, Rotter has represented her school, teammates, and community with pride and excellence.
