Mustangs Ready to Make a Splash at the MHSAA State Finals

The moment they’ve been training for has finally arrived. This Friday and Saturday, the Marian Swim & Dive Team heads to the 2025 MHSAA State Finals at the Holland Aquatic Center, bringing one of the deepest and most determined rosters in recent years.

After months of early morning practices, breakthrough meets, and nonstop improvement, the Mustangs enter championship weekend with major momentum—fresh off a second-place finish at the CHSL Championship. Their performance showcased depth across every event and proved that this squad is ready to compete with the state’s best.

Building on last year’s success, the Mustangs look to make another big statement after finishing Runner-Up at the 2024 MHSAA Division 3 Swim & Dive State Finals.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Alex Margherio, the Mustangs have built a strong competitive mindset and an unshakeable team identity. From powerhouse relays to standout individual swims and dedicated divers, every athlete has played a key role in the team’s continued rise.

Coach Margherio shared, “Our girls have pushed themselves all season. This is an incredibly hardworking group, and we’re excited to see them rise to the occasion at states.”

As they head into the final meet of the season, the Mustangs are set to bring intensity, unity, and heart to every race and every dive.
