The Marian High School Varsity Volleyball team is set to compete for the Bishop Division Catholic High School League (CHSL) Championship on Wednesday, October 8th, at 7:00 PM, taking on longtime rival Mercy High School in what promises to be an electric matchup between two powerhouse programs.
This marks the eighth consecutive year the Mustangs have reached the CHSL Finals - a testament to the consistency, depth, and determination that have defined Marian's program under Head Coach Mayssa Cook.
"We've had a lot of success this season with a record of 36-2," said Coach Cook. "We have a lot of talent on the team and every player in practice is working to be better for their team. It's been beautiful to watch how much energy and effort players who know they aren't likely to play in the big matches bring each and every day to make the team better. I'm looking forward to seeing how far this team can go, we certainly have the talent to go all the way."

The Mustangs' dominant season has been fueled by a talented and balanced lineup. Allie Davison, Sophia Smith, Quinn Nelson, Ashlyn Pelon, and London Gibson have all been key contributors on the court.

Marian's excellence has not gone unnoticed across the CHSL. In addition, Maddi Koch received All-Academic honors, showcasing the team's commitment to success both on and off the court.
Championship Outlook
Heading into Wednesday's CHSL Championship, Coach Cook is confident in her team's preparation and drive. "I believe we will win in four sets," she said. The Mustangs will need to lean on their depth, teamwork, and championship experience to outlast a strong Mercy squad.
