Marian Soccer defeats Cranbrook in 2OT, advances to Division 2 District Final
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - No. 2 Marian Varsity Soccer claimed their third consecutive victory over Cranbrook, and seventh in a row, in a double overtime win in the Division 2 District Semifinal.
Sophomore Nia Bordogna scored all three goals, two in overtime, to help the Mustangs advance to the District Final. With the win, the Mustangs now sit at 16-2-1 on the season, outscoring opponents 67-10.
Marian previously defeated Cranbrook back on April 24 in a 4-1 win, then faced the Cranes again in the CHSL Bishop Division Championship where the Mustangs again won 3-0.
Marian will take on Mercy in the Division 2 District Final at 4:30 p.m. on May 29, at the Cranbrook Soccer Complex. The Mustangs previously matched up against Mercy on May 7, claiming a 1-0 shutout victory.
