Mustangs bowl to fourth place finish at Bishop Finals

WESTLAND, Mich. – Oak Lanes was the venue for the Detroit Catholic League Bishop and Cardinal Division boy's and girls bowling championships Saturday.
Orchard Lake St. Mary's (2616) and Bishop Foley (2521) took home crowns in the Bishop and Cardinal boy's divisions, respectively.
On the girl's side of the house, Allen Park Cabrini ran away with the Cardinal Division title with a 232-pin advantage over second place finisher Madison Height Bishop Foley.
In the girls' Bishop Division, Divine Child (2178) upset Farmington Hills Mercy (2047) to claim the championship. In fact, Mercy barely escaped with a semifinal victory over Warren Regina.
Faustina Husaynu was Marian High School's top individual bowler on the day as the Mustangs fell to eventual champion Divine Child in the semifinals. Marian recorded a total pinfall of 1694.
While detailed individual results were not immediately available, they will be posted at www.chsl.com when available.
Marian will enter the MHSAA postseason with a trip to Waterford's 300 Bowl Friday to participate in the 16-team Division 2 Regional. First ball is at 9:00 a.m.
